Client Testimonials
"I’ve done yoga and meditation, but breathwork with WJ Breath Trainer hit different. I was shocked by how shallow my breathing was. Now I feel grounded, clear, and calm—for real."
Sharron Herring
"I used to think breathwork was just deep breathing. Wrong. WJ Breath Trainer showed me how to actually breathe. I felt tension leave my body I didn’t even know I was carrying."
Julian Davis
"I thought I knew how to breathe. Turns out I was doing it all wrong. After one session with WJ Breath Trainer, my blood pressure dropped 20 points. That’s not a typo!"

FAQs
Common Questions
What is breathwork and how is it different from meditation?
Breathwork uses intentional breathing patterns to shift your nervous system. While meditation focuses on stillness of the mind, breathwork engages the body and can create faster access to calm, clarity, and emotional release.
Do I need any experience to start?
No experience at all! Every session is guided step-by-step, making it accessible for complete beginners and enriching for those who’ve practiced before.
What can I expect to feel during a session?
Most people feel deep relaxation, emotional release, or a sense of calm. Some experience tingling, lightness, or waves of energy as the body resets. Every session is unique—there’s no “right” way to feel.
Is breathwork safe for everyone?
Breathwork is generally safe, and I’ll always offer modifications. If you're pregnant or have heart, lung, or severe mental health conditions, check with your doctor first. When in doubt, ask. Google doesn’t count as a provider.
Can breathwork help with anxiety or stress?
Yes! Breathwork directly impacts the nervous system, calming fight-or-flight and activating the body’s rest-and-digest mode. It’s a powerful tool for reducing anxiety and building resilience over time.
How long are sessions and what should I bring?
Sessions typically run 1 hour and 30 minutes, including 10–15 minutes for Q&A and 5–10 minutes of grounding at the end. Children's sessions can vary. I provide a mat, blanket, and pillow for your comfort. Feel free to bring water, an eye mask, or a mat cover if you prefer your own cozy setup.
Should I start with a session or the book?
Start with whichever speaks to you. The book offers education and insight to deepen your knowledge, while a session gives you real-time support and experience. Both work beautifully together.
Why do you work by referral only?
To ensure a safe and sacred experience, I currently offer sessions by referral. This helps us maintain trust, comfort, and alignment with those who are ready for the work.
Where are sessions held?
Sessions are held in a residential studio in Temple Hills, Md intentionally designed for healing and nervous system reset. The exact address is shared after your booking is confirmed. For groups of more than five, sessions will take place at a designated venue within the DMV area.
What is grounding, and how do we do it after a session?
Grounding helps you return to your body and the present moment. After breathwork, we use gentle movement, stillness, or reflection to help you feel steady, safe, and integrated before heading back into your day.
What should I expect after the session?
You may feel lighter, clearer, or more emotional. Everyone’s journey is different. Drink water, rest if needed, and give yourself space to integrate.
